Hugo E. Dachenhausen Jr.

Hugo E. Dachenhausen LAKE KATRINE- Hugo E. Dachenhausen, Jr., 79, of Penstock Lane and formerly of Main St. in Ruby, died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at his residence. Born June 10, 1933 in New Rochelle, he was the son of the late Hugo and Mary Gruber Dachenhausen, Sr. A veteran of the Korean War he served in the U.S. Navy on board the U.S.S. Loeser. A lifelong area resident he was employed by the N.Y. Telephone Company for 35 years. He was a member and former Chief and Commissioner of the Ruby Fire Department where he was a member for over 56 years. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, the U.S.S. Loeser Association, the AARP, and the Saugerties American Legion Post #72. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ann Joan Krum Dachenhausen; four sons, Dennis, Daniel and his wife, Jackie, Gene and his wife, Denise, and Kurt Dachenhausen; and two daughters, Debbie and her husband, Thomas Wilsey and Kelly Dachenhausen. He was the loving grandfather of eight grandchildren: Danielle and Jeffrey Wilsey, Bonnie, Josh, and Keith Loeffler, Adam, Riley, and Reed Dachenhausen; one sister, Barbara Vache of Highland; one brother, Larry Dachenhausen of Ruby; and several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. corner of John and Lafayette Sts.
