Louis Michael Cashara

Louis Michael Cashara ELON, VA.- Louis Michael Cashara, 94, of Elon, Va., passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at his residence. He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 73 years, Adeline Amato Cashara. Born June 16, 1918 in Glasco, he was the son of the late Frank Cashara and was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Angelina Cashara; two brothers, Anthony Cashara and Michael Cashara and two sisters, Josephine Roudis and Catherine Raucci. Mr. Cashara was a self-employed painting contractor, and along with his wife, were the owners of The Rainbow Drive Inn in Colonial Heights, Va. for 23 years. Mr. Cashara was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. Cashara is survived by his daughter, Pat Compton and husband Ron of Elon; two sisters, Virginia Cashara of Glasco and Mary Naccarato of Kingston; one granddaughter, Gina Craun and husband Tony of Purcelleville, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Charles (Chase) Craun and Coy Craun; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lynchburg, Va., at a later date, to be announced. Friends are invited to visit the family at the residence.
