Louise Spanhake Becker OLIVEBRIDGE - Louise Spanhake Becker, 92, passed away Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at Kingston Hospital. Born Nov. 15, 1920, in Wittenberg, she was the daughter of the late William G. and Minerva Lasher Spanhake, and had resided in Olivebridge the past several years. Mrs. Becker worked at Rotron Mfg. Co. in Woodstock for several years and later IBM in Fishkill, until her retirement. She had been active in the St. Remy church, Shandaken Senior Citizens and enjoyed bowling and square dancing. She was predeceased by two husbands, Chester Winne and Charles Becker, a daughter, Janice Cole, a sister, Gertrude Hill and four brothers, William, George, John and Charlie Spanhake. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Wilkins of Shokan, a sister, Eleanor Smith, five grandchildren, several great and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A service will be held at a later date, under the direction of Lasher FuneralHome, Inc., 100 Tinker St., Woodstock.
