KINGSTON- Mary Ferrine, 95, formerly of Destiny Lane, Glasco, died Friday morning, Aug. 9, 2013 at Golden Hill Health Care Center, Kingston.
Mary was born in Ill. on Feb. 21, 1918, a daughter of the late Anthony and Julia (Manfro) Provenzano. For over 60 years, Mary was employed as a seamstress for various clothing merchants including the Ferraro Garment Industry. She is predeceased by her husband, the late Salvatorre Ferrine.
She is survived by one son, Salvatorre R. Ferrine of West Hurley, two brothers, Salvatorre Provenzano of Hopewell Junction, and Albert Provenzano of Maryland, three sisters, Frances Tiano of Ten Broeck Commons, and Clara Weeks of Barclay Heights, and Theresa Ghezzie of Kingston, and one grandson, Wayne Ferrine of Marlborough.
In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by one son, Wayne Ferrine, a sister Julia Buono, and two brothers, Frank Buono, and Vincent "Babe" Provenzano.
The funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Rev. Edmund Burke officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Mary's of the Snow Cemetery, Rt. 9W, Saugerties. Mary's family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday.
