William M. Donohue KINGSTON- William M. Donohue, 88, of Spring, Texas, formerly of Palm Desert, Calif. and High Falls, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014. He was born in the Bronx, on May 18, 1925. He was a World War II
Veteran in the 1st Division (The Big Red 1), receiving a purple heart
for being wounded in the line of service. A High Falls resident from 1969 to 1998, Bill was a self-employed building contractor. He was a former member of the Marbletown First Aid Unit. After retiring he moved to Palm Desert, Calif. with his wife Rosalie to enjoy the mild climate and the desert landscape. In 2012, they moved to Spring, Texas to be near family. Bill enjoyed being with his family, gardening, fishing, gym workouts, hiking, and fitness walks. He started rock climbing at age 75 and climbed in the Shawangunks, Yosemite, and Joshua Tree in California. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rosalie Donohue; a son, William Donohue and his wife Karin of Tomball, Texas; a son, Steven Donohue and his wife Deena of McKinney, Texas; a daughter, Nancy Donohue and her husband Bruce Consiglio of New Paltz; his grandchildren, Casey Donohue and his wife Kate of Houston, Brie Bash and her husband David of Houston, Jason Donohue and his wife Allyson of Cadyville, N.Y., and Malorie Donohue of Lewisville, Texas; his great-grandchildren, Evan, Olivia, and Lucas; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his six siblings. A memorial service took place in Spring, Texas on Sunday, May 4, 2014.
