KINGSTON- Donald D. "Pops" Reposa 62, of Hurley Avenue, Kingston died suddenly on Sunday Sept. 15, 2013 at home. Born in Newark, N.J. on Sept. 18, 1950 he was the son of the late Benjamin and Ethel (McCombs) Reposa.
Donald served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as an Engineer for Universal Builders in Red Hook. Active Veteran Affairs, he was a member of the Joyce Schirick Post 1386 V.F.W., the Ulster County Memorial Chapter No. 156 Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post 1748 Town of Ulster and the Vietnam Veterans Association. Donald was known as a family man in which his greatest joys in life came from his family especially his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his children; Donald Reposa Jr. and his wife Lisa, Heather Reposa (Clayton Jones), Michael Reposa, Michelle Green and her husband Trevor and Benjamin Reposa and his wife JoAnne. A sister Donna Benner and her husband William; two brothers Benjamin Reposa and his wife Carol, Robert Reposa and his wife Judy. Grandchildren; Jessica Reposa, Austin Reposa, Thomas Stanley, Eric Jones, Clayton Jones, Jaden Reposa, and Justin Reposa. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
His wife Lynette C. Reposa died on Feb. 17, 2013.
Cremation and memorial arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Smith Avenue Kingston, N.Y. www.jvleahyfh.com. Memorial visitation will take place on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will take place Thursday at the funeral home 11 a.m. with Reverend Darlene Kelly, Pastor of the Clinton Avenue United Methodist Church officiating. Inurnment with military honors at Montrepose Cemetery.
