She was the daughter of the late William and Anna VanKleeck of New Paltz. A lifelong resident of the area, Evelyn was a dedicated school teacher and spent most of her career at Marbletown Elementary. (wife Julie), and Ronald of Orlando, Fla. (wife Krissy). Evelyn is survived by her cherished grandchildren: of Sally - Keith & Ryan; of Charlene – Dana & Michael; of Tom - Heather & Elizabeth; of Richard – Andrew, Steven, & Amy; and of Ron – Emily, David, & Eric. Evelyn came from a large family and was raised in New Paltz near the family’s construction business (William H VanKleeck and Sons) on Rt. 32. She is predeceased by her siblings Marion, Eva, Harold (Hatch), Bud, and Ray. She is survived by siblings; Bill VanKleeck of Kingston, Joan Steeley of Rochester, Barbara Clark of Port Ewen; and Janet Regan of Kingston. As a teacher she impacted the lives of many school children in our community. She was a fun loving person with an adventurous spirit who was always upbeat and positive.
