Grace H. Kokas Lomontville - Grace H. Kokas, 88, formerly of Ashokan Road died Thursday Dec. 19, 2013 at the Suffield House in Suffield Conn. She was born Oct. 27, 1925 in Brooklyn a daughter of the late Walter H. and Anna Joblonski Evans. Mrs. Kokas relocated to Suffield 5 years ago. Grace was an elementary school teacher at Marbletown and Rosendale Schools until her retirement. She also was a Registered Nurse and had previously worked at Bellevue Hospital and Benedictine Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of the Rondout Valley Teachers Association and the Hurley Reformed Church. Grace is survived by 2 sons, John Kokas of Lomontville and Jay Kokas of East Granby, Conn. Also survived by five grandchildren, John, Margaret, Emily, Meghan and Michael, and a niece and a nephew. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. Rev. Charles Stickley will officiate. Interment will be in Rosendale Plains Cemetery.
