Dear Dad,
I carry you in my heart always and you are missed every day. I arranged the most beautiful service for you at St. Peter's church in Rosendale. It was the most lovely day and so many friends and relatives came. I know you much have been smiling! Thomas spoke the most beautiful words I've ever heard. He talked about a letter I found that you had written about how much you loved Rosendale. You would have been so proud.
Thanks to all that have sent their blessings to our family.
Much love xox

Thank you all for sharing memories, and your condolences. Though he will be missed by many, in spirit, his light will remain within all who knew, loved, and friended him.

Walt was a dear friend of my late husband George. George was with Walt during the take down of the US Army. That was in deed a moment in time. My sincere sympathies to his family. May you find joy in his memories

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.

I'm so saddened to read of Walt's passing. We had some great times in Rosendale many years ago. Older folks, like me, will never forget the time when he detained the United States Army when they conducted a training mission and didn't notify the chief about their plans. BIG MISTAKE,on their part.
May God take the best care of his soul and give his family help dealing with their sorrow.
