Agnes A. Gardner SAUGERTIES-Agnes A. Gardner, 86, of Cole Place, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Kingston City Hospital. She was born in Saugerties on Jan. 29, 1927 to the late Michael and Martha LaHoud Lawless. Agnes attended St. Mary of the Snow Grade School and then later graduated from Saugerties High School. Mrs. Gardner was employed for many years at Ferroxcube holding many positions from Operator to Supervisor and finally retiring in 1989. Some of the organizations she belonged to were the Saugerties American Legion Auxillary and the Pioneer Club a club within Ferroxcube. A parishioner of St. Mary of the Snow she enjoyed going on bus trips, reading, crossword puzzles and was an excellent cook and baker. Survivors include her husband of 58 years Robert F. Gardner; one daughter, Lisa Gardner and her companion Paul Fischer of Cairo; one brother, Robert C. and his wife Dolores Gardner of Palenville; one sister, Rosemary Mackewicz of Lake Katrine; one brother, William Lawless of Schenectady; two grandchildren, Robert C., Jr and Michael B. Gardner. Several nieces, nephews and cousins including her special cousin Jim Gage also survive. She was pre-deceased by five brothers, Michael, Charles, Jack, Alfred and Joseph Lawless and one sister, Elizabeth. Her Funeral Procession will form Thursday 9:15 a.m. at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc. corner of John and Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Thence to the St. Mary of the Snow RC Church where at 10 a.m. a mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Internment will follow in the St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery.
