Brett Patrick Philip PAULS VALLEY, OKLAH.- Brett Patrick Philip, of Pauls Valley, Okla., was born to Harry Michael Philip and Donna Merle (Parsells) Philip on Dec. 2, 1979 in Kingston, and passed from this life on Aug. 20, 2013 near Pauls Valley, Okla., at the age of 33 years. Brett grew up in Cape Girardeau, Mo., where he attended Notre Dame and Central High Schools, graduating in 1997. He attended colleges in Mo. and Indiana where he studied computer technology. Pauls Valley has been his home for the past seven years. He loved fishing, hunting, golf, and his family. Brett was also an outstanding all-star soccer goalie. He is remembered by all as loving, caring, and generous but most of all for always being there for others in their time of need. Brett is survived by his parents Harry and Rita Philip of Jackson, Mo., and Donna Philip of Pauls Valley, Okla. He is also survived by his two brothers, Scott Philip of Pauls Valley, Okla. and Darin Philip (Alex) of Olathe, Kan.; a stepbrother, Matt Wiethop; and a stepsister, Paige Kracke of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; and his maternal grandmother, uncles, aunts, and many cousins. A 40 day Memorial Service will be held at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, 440 Whitehall Road, Albany, N.Y. on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013 immediately following church services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brett's memory to Missouri Special Olympics--Southeast area.
