Dieter Wieberneit LAKE KATRINE -Dieter Wieberneit, a great man, died Friday April 10, 2013 at Livingston Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Livingston, New York. Born November 5, 1948 in Bottropa, Germany to the late Hans Wieberneit and Anna (Kahl) Wieberneit. He has one surviving sister Elfriede who is happily married to David Craig. Directly surviving; is his only child and daughter Erin Wieberneit. Erin gave Dieter the light of his life; his one and only grandchild Adrianna Wieberneit. Three nieces and one nephew also survive. After coming to the United States from Germany as a child, Dieter bravely served his country in Vietnam as a Military Police Officer. After completion of his tour of duty; he returned and worked his entire life for Dyno Nobel, Inc. as an operator on the powder line. He retired in 2005. In his last years; he truly enjoyed the company of his daughter and granddaughter. He was an avid hiker and woodsman. As well as a Master Black Belt in Fu Jow Pai (The Tiger Claw Kung-Fu System). May he rest in peace. Cremation arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Smith Avenue Kingston, New York. www.jvleahyfh.com. Friends will be received at the funeral home for a memorial visitation Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Cremation was held at the Wiltwyck Crematory.
