Earl W. Harp NEW PALTZ- Earl W. Harp, age 87, of New Paltz died Friday, March 29, 2013, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. Born on March 11, 1926, in New Paltz, he was the son of the late Frank and the late Bessie (Fredericks) Harp. He married Marian Powell Nov. 2, 1949 in New Hurley. He has lived all of his life in the New Paltz area. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a retired electrician operating Frank R. Harp & Son electricians in New Paltz. Surviving in addition to his wife, Marian (Powell) Harp, is a daughter, Carol Ann Greenberg and her husband Robert, of Raleigh, N.C.; son, Earl Harp, Jr. and his wife Christine, of Concord, Va.; daughter, Mary Beth and her husband Thomas Bradley, of Hyde Park; grandchildren, Kathryn, Jack, Heather (Scott), Sara, Kyle; great-grandchildren, Ava, and Charlotte; one sister, Bessie Elliott of N.H.; and one brother, Frank R. Harp, Jr. of Boynton Beach, Fla.He is also survived by several nieces and nephew. Calling hours will be Monday April 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 162 South Putt Corners Road, New Paltz, N.Y. The funeral service will take place Tuesday April 2 at 1 p.m. at the Reformed Church of New Paltz, 92 Huguenot St., New Paltz with the Rev. Howard Major III officiating.
