Grace C. Bryden HIGH FALLS - Grace C. Bryden, 84, formerly of Walton, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 at the home of her daughter in High Falls, surrounded by her family. Grace was born May 8, 1929 in Downsville the daughter of the late J. Perry and Mabel (Clapperton) Champlin. Grace graduated from Downsville Central then went to work for the First National Bank of Downsville. She was a member of the Hamden Presbyterian Church, the Chambers Hollow Craft Club, and the Grange. She always liked to read a good book, and to bake brownies. She enjoyed living and working on a dairy farm her whole life, and always had a pleasant smile. Grace is survived by her loving family, her children: Ruth (Mike) Lucas of High Falls, and Jacksonville, Fla.; Laura (Brian) Pickard of High Falls, Perry Bryden of Va.; her grandchildren: Tracey and Keith, Tony and Dana, Kevin and Deidra, Jonathon, Bradley and Heather, Kyle, Joseph and Timothy; her great grandchildren: Josh, Jayson, Aaliyah, Dillon, Alyssa, Jessica, Travis; her brother, Allan Champlin of Downsville, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family are invited to call on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at the Hamden Presbyterian Church, 35806 State Highway 10, Hamden, N.Y. with the Rev. Bert More, officiating.
