Harold McElrath Obituary

Harold 'Sonny' McElrath HIGHLAND - Harold 'Sonny' McElrath, 78, an Army Veteran of the Korean War died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Hudson Valley Rehab/Extended Care Center. Mr. McElrath was born in Kingston on September 14, 1932, to the late William and Dorothy (Henion) McElrath. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by IBM. Survivors include two sisters, Elaine Diamond of Kingston and Beverly Reynolds of N .C., a brother Donald Mc Elrath of Kan., two half sisters, Jill Halwick of Kingston and Sheila Sloyan of Kan., four half brothers, John Bechtold of Saugerties, Fred and Alfred Bechtold both of Kingston and Lawrence Bechtold of Lake Katrine, several nieces, nephews and many cousins. Family and friends will be received Thursday 2 to 4 P.M. at the Henry J. Bruck Funeral Home, 261 Broadway, Kingston, N.Y. Cremation and burial at Wiltwyck Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
