Harry R. Park WOODSTOCK- Harry R. Park, 87, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at his residence. Born June 26, 1925 in Woodstock, he was the son of the late Richard C. and Hazel Shultis Park and was a lifelong resident of the town of Woodstock. Harry was a graduate of the Kingston High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a well driller, working with his father-in-law, Harold Lapo and later on his own from 1946 until 1984. He was an antique car enthusiast and was a member of the Woodstock Auto Club. He also enjoyed moose hunting in Canada. He was predeceased by his wife, Janet Lapo Park June 11, 2003; a brother, Harley Park; and a nephew, Donald Park. Surviving are his son, Harold Park and his wife Nancy, of North Augusta, S.C.; two grandchildren, Jesse Park of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Nicola Park of Columbia, S.C.; a nephew, Richard Park of Idaho; and great-nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 29, 2013, at Woodstock Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lasher Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Tinker St., Woodstock.
