LeRoy W. Lapp ACCORD- LeRoy W. ‘Nick' Lapp, 75, of Airport Road died unexpectedly on Sunday Sept. 8, 2013 at his home. He was born in Alligerville March 19, 1938, a son of the late Charles B. and Harriet DeWitt Lapp. A lifelong area resident Nick was employed as an operating engineer for Local 825 in Middletown, retiring in 2000. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a charter member of the Alligerville Fire Department. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed car racing. He is survived by a daughter, Kelli Ricci and her husband Rich of New Paltz; three sons, Nicholas Lapp and his wife Cheryl of Accord, Todd Lapp and his wife Laurie of Accord, and Timothy Lapp and his wife Sharon of Samsonville; his former wife, Joy Lapp, of Rosendale; three brothers, Charles B. Lapp of Ore., Arthur D. Lapp Sr. of High Falls, Ronald G. Lapp Sr. of Alligerville; and three sisters, Marion Theis of Va.,Helen Lipke of Wis., and Harriet J. McKay of Fla. Also survived by two granddaughters, three grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. A sister Myrtle Dunmire and a brother Frederick B. Lapp, both died previously. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10 a.m. at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. Rev. Arlene Dawber will officiate. Interment with military honors by Rosendale-Tillson Post 1219 American Legion will be at the Whitfield Cemetery, Accord.
