Mary E. Hanaburgh Obituary
Mary E. Hanaburgh CLINTON-Mary E. Hanaburgh, 82, of Clinton and a lifelong area resident, passed away on Wednesday, January 9th, 2013 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. Born on Sept. 1, 1930, in Rhinebeck, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel (Millius) Campion. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park. Mary married Hanford M. “Hans” Hanaburgh on Feb. 5, 1949 in Hyde Park and he predeceased her on Nov. 17, 2010. In addition to raising her family, Mary was also a foster mother to many. She also worked for many years for the Hyde Park School District. Mary was an active member of the West Clinton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed sewing, embroidery, country western music, hummingbirds, owls, and the N.Y. Yankees. She is survived by her loving family, including her daughter; Gail M. Richardson of Red Hook, her son; Kevin Hanaburgh of Staatsburg, her grandchildren; Carmen Region and her husband Jeff of Staatsburg, Jody Richardson of Monroe, N.C., Harrie Knox “Chip” Richardson III of Tonawanda, N.Y., and Ryan Richardson of Red Hook, her two great-grandsons; Jayson and Tyler Region, and her beloved dog; Cassie. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister; Lulu Turner, and a brother; Charles “Buddy” Campion Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan.14, 2013 at Burnett & White Funeral Homes, Rhinebeck, N.Y. The Rev. John S. Williams will officiate. Burial will be at Pleasant Plains Cemetery. Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in Mary's memory to the West Clinton Fire Department-Ladies Auxiliary, 219 Hollow Rd., Staatsburg, N.Y. 12580.
