Michael J. Sottile LAKE KATRINE- Michael J. Sottile “Pal” formerly of 15 Golf Terrace, Kingston, died at Tenbroeck Commons on Dec. 23, 2013. He was the husband of the late Lorraine Brennan Sottile and the son of the late Francis Sottile and Frances Naccarato Sottile. He was predeceased by his brothers, James, Eugene, Arthur and Ralph Sottile; his sister, Mary Sottile Saccoman; and his niece, Mary Jean Newcomber. He is survived by nieces and nephews, formerTown of Ulster Supervisor Frank Sottile, Lillian Terwilliger, Rosalie Fine, Former Mayor of Kingston James Sottile, Frances Sottile Benton and Lorraine Sottile Goodman. He was a 30 year employee of Dutchess Beer Distributors where he was a driver and a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Mike is a decorated World War II veteran. He received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star for his service in the battle of Iwo Jima. Mike, known to his buddies as Pal, enjoyed bowling, fishing, horseracing, rolling the dice and spending time with his many friends. The Sottile family will receive friends Thursday, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Henry J. Bruck Funeral Home, 261 Broadway, Kingston, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Sung 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church on Friday. Burial with full Military honors by Joyce Schirick Post 1386 will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
