Peter DeWitt STONE RIDGE- Peter DeWitt, 53, of Stone Ridge died suddenly Friday morning, March 15, 2013, at Health Alliance, Broadway Campus, Kingston. He was born in Kingston March 6, 1960, a son of the late Robert and Mary Whalen DeWitt Sr. He owned and operated P & S Plumbing and Heating since 1991. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sandi Countryman DeWitt; four children, Craig Conklin and his longtime partner Liz Kladakis of Accord, Sherry Ann, Christopher and P.J. Conklin, all of Kerhonkson; four stepchildren, Jodi Clark, Jami and her husband Jason Cody, Lori Bonhomme and her husband James, all of Kerhonkson, and Bobbi-Lynn Clark of Stone Ridge; three brothers, Robert DeWitt II and his fiancee Ellen Whitman, Thomas DeWitt and his wife Mary, all of Kerhonkson, and Mike DeWitt of Albany; and a sister, Mary DeWitt of Fla. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A sister Gale died previously. Anyone that knew Pete knew he was a great man with a very big heart. He took great pride in all he did and all he loved. Pete loved fishing and taking his old Honda out for long scenic rides. He always had jokes, pranks, and inventions to make people laugh. He will be greatly missed by all his family and many friends. Friends and relatives are invited to the visitation on Monday beginning at 1 p.m. at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. Rev. Arlene Dawber will conduct funeral services at 3 p.m. following the visitation. Interment will be in Whitfield Cemetery, Accord.
