Robert A. Shultis OLIVEBRIDGE - Robert A. Shultis, 96, passed away peacefully, Nov. 11, 2013. Born April 7, 1917 in Olivebridge, he was the son of the late William H. and Laura Osborn Shultis and was a lifelong resident of Olivebridge. Pop retired from the NYC Board of Water Supply in the mid 1970’s. He was an accomplished woodworker and carpenter and enjoyed the unending list of projects, he was always involved with. Pop never passed up a cup of coffee, or a lotto ticket. He was a member of the Olive American Legion Post in Shokan and Masonic Lodge #10, F&AM in Kingston. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Cindy Lynne Shultis and his brother, LeGrand Shultis. Surviving are his wife of 76 years, Margaret Crawford Shultis (aka Honey), his son Robert, Jr., and his wife Ellen of Olivebridge, two grandsons, Robert III and his wife Carla and Steven and his wife Donna, three great grandchildren, Brittany Myers and husband Adam, and Corinne and Megan Shultis, a great great grandson, Logan Shultis and two nephews, Raymond and LeGrand Shultis. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Tongore Cemetery, Olivebridge. Contributions to Olive First Aid Unit or Olive Fire Department, would be appreciated. Arrangements are under the direction of Lasher Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Tinker St., Woodstock.
