All who knew her know that Ruth was a real "Origina" in the very best of ways! She was very involved in her community, she loved to Woodland Valley and the Family and Friends that gathered there! I know we will all miss her and those special times together very much. Goodbye Cousin Ruth! We will miss you! Love & Cheers! Candy & David Trimble

Ruth was a neighbor, friend, and a full blown character whose spirit I hope I can emulate as I add on the years.....I will never forget her! And, I am honored to have some of her daffodils planted in my garden...........................

Ruth was such a delight to talk to. She always had an opinion on a topic, and certainly learned and shared a lot about wines. My husband and I loved talking to her and when he passed away she was heartbroken. Ruth kept the people she loved so close to her heart. She was so independent, she has become a model for me in my older years. My best to her family and friends.

Ruth was one of the first people I met when I bought my home in Woodland Valley in 1981. She had been coming up here from New Jersey since she was 12 years old. Most people would remember her from the Boiceville liquor store, where she worked into her later years and became a connoisseur of wines. I always enjoyed finding a bottle of wine in my mailbox on my birthday. My children grew up with Ruth as a part of their lives, and she enjoyed caring for my cat Willow last winter for many weeks. We missed her presence this last Christmas morning. I have so many memories of Ruth over the last 30 years.
