Sarah C. Whipple RED HOOK - Sarah C. Whipple, 75, a lifelong Red Hook resident, passed away on Tuesday, May 13th, 2014 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. Born on Oct. 27th, 1938, in Red Hook, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Charlotte (MacGugan) DuBois. Sarah married Donald Whipple on Oct. 12, 1958 at Christ Church in Red Hook, and Donald survives at home. In addition to raising her family, Sarah also drove bus for Red Hook School District and was an assistance at the United Methodist Church Daycare. She is survived by her husband Donald Whipple of Red Hook, two daughters; Susanne (Chris) Yelvington of Tivoli, and Karen (Rob) Gay of Virginia, a son; Eric Whipple of New Hampshire, a sister; Louise Arsenault of Red Hook, and her grandchildren; Jennifer Newkirk of Tivoli, Tiffiny Newkirk of Virginia, Renee Newkirk of North Carolina, and Zachary Whipple of New Hampshire.
