Stephen Charles LeBarron Obituary
Stephen Charles LeBarron EAST KINGSTON-Stephen Charles LeBarron, 21, of East Kingston, passed away quietly in his home on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013. Born Feb. 17, 1992, in Lompoc, Calif., to Richard Charles and Ruthie Ellen Machado LeBarron, he was raised by Jeanie M. Tyler, and lived in sunny California until age 16. From Kindergarten to eighth grade, Stephen attended La Purisima Concepcion Catholic School in Lompoc, Calif. During those formative years he made several lifelong friends, served his Church and community as an altar boy, participated in Cub and Boy Scouts, and participated in organized sports (soccer and basketball). He attended St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Santa Maria, Calif., his freshman year of high school and Lompoc Senior High School his sophomore year. After moving to New York, Stephen adopted his beloved dog Taz, who was his constant and most faithful companion. He worked for the Friendly’s corporation where his hard work and dedication were noticed by his manager and dear friend, Samuel Gratta of Kingston, and he proudly served the company as the assistant manager at one of its Ulster County restaurants. Stephen loved to take Taz for walks to the river and explore the countryside on his four-wheeler. He loved music and was an avid fan of movies—comedies were his favorite. Stephen loved to laugh. He was also an ardent video gamer. Stephen is survived by his father, Richard; mothers, Ruthie and Jeanie; sister, Alyssa LeBarron; niece, Hayley Langdon; grandmother, Violet Tyler; four aunts; one uncle; nine cousins, and his Beloved Dog, Taz. A memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 20, at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Certified Celebrant Harry VanVliet IV, will officiate.
