Frances ‘Fran’ Grunenwald KINGSTON - Frances “Fran” Grunenwald, 67 of Maiden Lane Kingston, died unexpectedly Friday Feb. 21, 2014 at HealthAlliance Hospital Broadway Campus. Born in Kingston on Nov. 6, 1946 she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary (Cooney) Markle. Fran was employed at the YMCA Kingston in the maintenance department and for eighteen years at Twin Lakes. She is survived by a daughter, Ruth A. Lang, and her husband Darryl of Connelly; her son, Robert E. Grunenwald Jr. of Connelly; brothers, Edward Markle and his wife Anna of Clearwater, Fla., William Markle of Rosendale; her grandchildren, Alexis Grunenwald, Alyssa Lang, Brianna Grunenwald and Michael Lang; great grandson Kaden Gillbault; sisters-in-law, Helen Reck and her husband John, Colleen Grunenwald and her husband Charles. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Her husband, Robert E. Grunenwald, Sr.; sisters, Doreen Langendorf and Elizabeth Broadhead all died previously. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Smith Avenue Kingston, New York . Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral procession will form 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. at Saint Peter’s Church. Cremation to take place at Wiltwyck Crematory. Inurnment Saint Peter’s Cemetery.
