Mildred M. Burns Obituary
Mildred M. Burns KINGSTON- Mildred M. Burns, 93 of Golden Hill Drive formerly of Port Ewen and Boyton Beach Florida died Tuesday May 6, 2014 at the Golden Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born May 17, 1920 in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Bechtold) Bilyou. Mildred worked in the family dry cleaners then for IBM Kingston for twenty five years until her retirement. After retirement, she spent winters in Florida and summers in Kingston. Surviving is her daughter Karen Roach and her husband David of Kingston; her son, Vincent P. Burns, Jr. of Charleston, South Carolina; sisters, Jean Schatzel and Jacqueline Linnartz; her grandchildren, Allison Keck and her husband Michael, Vincent P. Burns, III, Stacy Partanen and her husband Joseph, Patricia Marchesani and her husband Charles, Laura Bogle and her husband Michael. Ten great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Her husband Vincent Burns, a daughter, Carol Lee Carpino, granddaughter, Lisa Burns, grandson Christopher J. Roach, sisters, Dorothy Denman and Barbara N. Barnes and brother, George “Knobby” Bilyou died previously. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Smith Avenue. www.jvleahyfh.com Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral procession will form 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. at Saint Joseph’s Church. Final prayers and commendation will be held at the Wiltwyck Community Mausoleum Complex. Cremation will be held at the Wiltwyck Crematory. Inurnment at a later date in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
