Mary E. Campasso Dobbs KINGSTON - Mary E. Campasso Dobbs, 91, of West Chestnut Street in Kingston died Tuesday May 20, 2014 at HealthAlliance Hospital: Mary’s Avenue Campus. Born June 4, 1922 in Poughkeepsie; she is the daughter of the late Giovanni and Candida (Lucarini) Campasso. Mary served our country as a member of the Women’s Army Air Corps. She also was a proofreader for Western Printing. Surviving is her daughter Donna Dobbs of Kingston, sisters; Lucia Sullivan and Norma Mateer. Grandchildren; Deidre Pryor of Australia and Andrea Keating of Larchmont, great-grandchildren; Sophia Elise and Olivia Jane Pryor, Nolan Patrick, Clara Louise and Charles Henry Keating. Her husband Gilbert M. Dobbs, a pilot of the United States Air Force; was classified missing in action during Korean War. A daughter; Jeanne Dobbs Kennedy and siblings; Clara Constanzi, Tina Conboy, Marty Campaso and Louise Costello all died previously as well. Cremation and memorial arrangements were pre planned and are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Smith Avenue Kingston. www.jvleahyfh.com. Cremation was held at Wiltwyck Crematory. A memorial mass of Chrisitan Burial will be celebrated Saturday May 24 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Kingston. Inurnment will be private at a later date in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
