Frank W. Kelly NEW PALTZ- Frank W. Kelly, age 95, of New Paltz, died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, June 20, 2014 at his residence. He was born on Jan. 11, 1919, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of the late Thomas and Anna (Neogra) Kelly. Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife of 67 years, Blanche Tilebein Kelly on Dec. 17, 2005. Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during World War II in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He was Past President of the Esopus Lions Club; was a member of the Town of Esopus Planning Board for seven years and served as Republican Chairman for the Town of Esopus for thirteen years, and a past member of the Rifton Volunteer Fire Department. He owned and operated Kelly Service Station in Rifton, for 30 years. Surviving are two daughters, Lynn-An Kelly of New Paltz, and Blanche “Bunny” Wiersum of New Paltz, one son, Robert E. Kelly of Catskill; a sister, Helen Rubino of N.J.; six grandchildren, Diane, Sharon, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Schuyler and James and four great-grandchildren, Emily, Robert, Jillian and Quinn. He was predeceased by a grandson, Grant Carroll, and four sisters, Barbara Williamson, Catherine “Kitty” Kern, Alice Eisele and Amelia Kelly. Friends and relatives may call on Monday, June 23, 2014, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Copeland Funeral Home, 162 South Putt Corners Road, New Paltz, N.Y. Funeral services will follow at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
