Raymond L. Berardi KINGSTON - Raymond L. Berardi, 79, of Adams St., died Monday, Feb. 14, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany after a short illness. He was born in Kingston April 10, 1931, a son of the late Santo P. and Dorothy (Doyle) Berardi. For over 30 years, Ray was in charge of maintenance at St. Peter's Church, St. Peter's School and St. Peter's Cemetery. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Tavern League and bowled at Ferraro's Mid City Lanes and HoeBowl on the Hill. Survivors include his wife, Mathilda M. (Short) Berardi; a daughter, Mary A. Wasielewski; a grandson, Joseph Raymond Wasielewski and a sister, Rose Mary Berardi West, all of Kingston. Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Berardi. Friends and family will be received Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Henry J. Bruck Funeral Home, 261 Broadway, Kingston. The funeral procession will form on Friday at 10:15 a.m. at the Henry J. Bruck Funeral Home then proceed to St. Mary's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 a.m. Burial in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Ulster County SPCA, 20 Wiedy Road, Kingston, NY 12401.
