Joseph William Gee Obituary
Joseph William Gee ULSTER PARK- Joseph “Joe” William Gee, 61, passed away on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Joe went home to be with the lord Jesus, whom he loved and trusted as his Savior. Joe was born in Brooklyn, on Nov. 25, 1951, son of the late Raymond Gee and Marion Jacobson. Although a Brooklynite, he lived most of his life in the Hudson Valley area, eventually settling in Ulster Park. While his hobbies changed over the years, Joe's enduring passion was motorcycles. If he wasn't on the road, he was tinkering with either his ‘61 Panhead or Victory. Recently confirmed as a Catholic, he was an active parishioner of the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Port Ewen, and was Godfather to his granddaughter Madelyn Lutomski. He was intrigued by history and language and enjoyed travel. Joe's friendly character, kind heart, and faith invoked quiet inspiration in all who met him. Joe is survived by his son, Eric Gee; his sister, Dianne Six and her husband Jerry; and his companion of eighteen years, Angie Lutomski along with their family together: Jeff Lutomski and his wife Shannon, and grandchildren, Ava, Madelyn and Scarlett, Mike Lutomski, and Jenny Lutomski and her husband Jaap Verheggen. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Along with Rob Martino and Stephen Brooks, Joe was a founding member of the DRFSP MC. He will be missed by all his MC brothers including John Marchese, Jimmy Pells, John Roland, Jay Cypher, and all the other Pig members. Joe was predeceased by member Randy Ligotino. The funeral procession will form 2:30 p.m., Thursday from the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, thence to Presentation Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Port Ewen, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m., Rev. Carl D. Johnson, celebrant. Burial will follow at Wiltwyck Cemetery. Joe's family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the mass from 12 noon to 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to: Presentation Church of the BVM Maintenance Fund, P.O. Box 904, Port Ewen, N.Y., 12466. To send a personal expression of condolence, visit Joe's Book of Memories: www.GVVFH.com
