Florence T. Franzese KINGSTON- Florence T. (Perry) Franzese, 87, of Chambers Drive, Kingston, died Saturday evening, Nov. 9, 2013 at HealthAlliance Hospital ICU, Broadway Campus, Kingston. Florence was born in Kingston on June 29, 1926, a daughter of the late Joseph “Chief” and Pasqualina (Rienzo) Perry. Florence moved from Kingston and became a longtime resident of Cooper City, Fla., returning to Kingston several years ago to be with her family and friends. Her husband, Joseph Franzese, died in 2010. She loved to cook and bake, and host dinner parties, and share her Italian recipes. She enjoyed decorating her home, especially during the holidays. She was the devoted mother of two sons, Richard Bockelmann and his wife Joanne of Kingston, and Paul Bockelmann and his wife Pat of St. Augustine, Fla. She is also survived by her youngest sister, Anne Greco; three grandchildren, Dennielle Marchese and her husband John of Esopus, and Kyla Thomas and her husband Michael of Kingston, and Bryan Bockelmann of St, Augustine, Fla.; and two great-grandchildren, Sunra Thomas and Gage Bockelmann. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She is predeceased by four brothers: Samuel, Joseph, John and Michael Perry and four sisters: Emma DeGregoria, Fanny Turck, Betty Augustine, and Marge Hardy. Cremation service arrangements are under the care of the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park. The service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, Deacon Timothy Dean officiating. Inurnment in the family plot at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kingston will follow. Florence’s family will receive friends during memorial visitation prior to the service from 11 to 2 p.m. Cremation was held at Wiltwyck Crematory.
