James A. Rowell KINGSTON- James A. Rowell, 81, of East Chester St., died Thursday April 17, 2014 at Health Alliance Hospital Broadway Campus. He was born in Franklin, N.Y., a son of the late Edwin and Mildred Payne Rowell. He resided in the area for many years and had been employed as a systems analyst for IBM in Kingston and Poughkeepsie. Jim served in the U.S. Air Force for ten years and was a member of American Legion Post 150 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1386 both in Kingston. He was also a member of Kingston B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge 550. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anita Rowell; a daughter, Linda Marvin and her husband Bill of Dillon, Colo.; a son, Jeffrey A. Rowell and his wife Maureen of Yorktown, Va.; two sisters, Marilyn Monaco and her husband John of Florida, and Barbara Oles and her late husband Frank. He is also survived by five grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A son Timothy J. Rowell died Jan. 19, 2014; a daughter, Judy L. Rowell died in 1986; and infant children, Edwin and Jane Rowell. A sister, Audrey and her husband Harrison Geiselmann also died previously. Funeral services will be private and interment will be in Franklin, N.Y. at a later date. There are no calling hours.
