William Ashmore

William Ashmore SAUGERTIES-William Ashmore, 81, of Appletree Dr., died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Waterloo, Iowa to the late William, Jr. and Barbara Cuddy Ashmore. After graduating High School, Bill continued his studies at Rochester Institute of Technology. He then moved to Saugerties and worked for many years as a meat distributor for Newburgh Packaging. A parishioner of St. Mary of the Snow Church, Bill also volunteered his time with the Saugerties Blue Kats and Lion’s Men’s Clubs as well as the Glasco Fire Department. Survivors include his wife the former Rita M. Isabella with whom he married on Sept. 21, 1984, four daughters, Michele (John) Harvey, Connie ( Terrance) Darcy, Tara (John) Sweeney, Ritamary (Jeffrey) Montano-Vining, three sons, William (Jodi) Ashmore, Edward (Tina) Montano and Joseph (Kristen) Montano, 14 grandchildren, Stephanie McNulty, Margot Sweeney, Jerin Burch, Zackary Harvey, Juliannah Joan and Jeffrey Vining, Ryan and Brendan Darcy, Meredith Joy and Matthew Montano, Amanda and William Ashmore, Hunter and Hudson Montano, three great-grandchildren, Marilyn McNulty and Islyn and Maverick Burch. He was pre-deceased by his former wife, Marilyn Brush Ashmore and sister, Sally Psaila. His Funeral Procession will form 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., cor. of John and Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Thence to the St. Mary of the Snow R.C. Church where a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass will be offered. Inurnment will follow at a later date in the St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery.
