Sherry L. Collymore SchenectadySherry L. Collymore, 54, of Schenectady, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Born January 22, 1959, Sherry was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Linton High School in 1977. Shortly after graduating Sherry enlisted in the United States Army where she served as a supply specialist for four years. Sherry was employed with Blue Cross and Blue Shield and also John Hancock as an administrative assistant for many years. Sherry was the loving wife of George Tony Collymore for 29 years. Sherry was devoted to her work and New Bethel Community Church of God in Christ, where she had been a member over 12 years. With her infectious laugh and smile, and her wonderful spirit and zest for life, she made everyone smile around her. She is survived by her husband, George Tony Collymore; her two children, Demetreus and Lakeisha Collymore; two grandchildren, Cyanne and Peyton Collymore; her parents, Donald and Shirley Myers; her brothers, Wayne and Donald Myers Jr.; brothers-in-law, Ronnie and John Collymore; sister-in-law, Jennifer Collymore; in-laws, Jeffrey and Gladwyn Harris; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at New Bethel Community Church, 2020 Broadway, Schenectady. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery, Schenectady. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to the service at NBC Church. To express condolences visit www.sbfuneralhome.com.

I will always miss her contagious laugh and beautiful smile. I'm so grateful and blessed I spent some time with her 2 weeks before she passed. She had us laughing! She will be sorely missed but I'm glad she's no longer in pain. RIP my friend. God Bless.

My condolences to Sherry's family. I worked with Sherry at John Hancock for a brief time. The time I was there she always made me feel welcome and we shared ALOT of laughs. May she rest in peace.

I remember Sherry from Oneida Jr. High, and graduating with her from Linton. So sorry to hear of her passing, she is much too young. My thoughts are with her family, I know she will be missed.

I'm sorry for your loss and pray that God will strengthen you during this difficult time. Sis. Sherry was a beautiful person with such a gentle spirit.
