Dresser, George T.  
George T. Dresser Trumbull, CT George T. Dresser, age 92, of Trumbull, CT, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield, CT. George was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Marian Francis Pratt Dresser, on January 18, 2004. He was also predeceased by a brother, Bob; and a sister, Mary. George was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. George attended Bentley College, and worked in accounting and finance for General Electric throughout a working career that ended with his retirement in 1984. Throughout his life, George was a very active participant in the Methodist Church. During his 50 years as a Trumbull resident, the Long Hill Methodist Church was a very important part of his life. George was also a very active participant in General Electric groups such as the Elfun Society and the Quarter Century Club. George was a loving and supportive father and grandfather. He will be missed by his entire family. George is survived by his daughter, Carol A. Dresser, of Plymouth, CT; his son, Dr. John D. Dresser and his wife, Virginia, of Hanover, NH; as well as two granddaughters, Sarah E. Dresser, of Hanover, NH, and Laura A. Dresser, of San Francisco, CA. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. George's family would like to thank the Long Hill Methodist Church membership for their caring support. We'd also like to thank George's wonderful neighbors in the Samuel St. neighborhood for the goodwill and kind gestures that they made towards George and Marian during their time on Samuel St. Finally, we'd like to thank the wonderful staff at the Jewish Home for the Elderly for the fantastic care that George received during his stay there. Ervin, Heather Hicks  
Heather Hicks Ervin Burbank, CAHeather Hicks Ervin, 39, of Burbank, entered into eternal life on Monday, December 22, 2014, in New York City. She was born on April 14, 1975, in Albany, NY, the daughter of Richard L. and Nancy Harrington Hicks. She was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School, where she was Jr. and Sr. class president and also a 1997 graduate of the American University and received her bachelor's degree in communication. She was employed as an administrative assistant for KOMUT Entertainment for 12 years where she was recently promoted to coordinating producer of Independent television writers based at Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband, Jason, whom she married on October 3, 2009; and her two precious children, Matthew Pioli Ervin (22 months) and James Harrington Ervin (10 months); her brother, Michael R. (Eileen) Hicks; her sister, Amy (Richard) Hicks Moore; her nieces and nephews, Michael, Kathryn, Makenna and Grayson. Also survived by many more on Jason's side of the family, her father and mother-in-law, Tony and Judy Askins; and a large extended loving family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial scholarship fund in Matthew and James Hicks Ervin c/o KOMUT Entertainment, 40000 Warner Blvd., Building 140 Ste 201, Burbank, Ca 91522. Frieberg Jr., Edwin Carl  
Edwin Carl Frieberg Jr. Albany Edwin Carl Frieberg Jr., 88, died Friday, December 26, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Edwin and Mary Lomasney Frieberg. He graduated from Nott Terrace High School and Siena College. Mr. Frieberg was a US Navy World War II Veteran. He retired as district manager for Ashland Chemical Company, and later worked at other industrial chemical companies. Mr. Frieberg was a longtime communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany, where he formerly served as president of the home school association. He was recently a communicant of St. John the Evangelist, Schenectady. He was a former member of the Scotia Glenville Senior Center, Wolferts Roost Country Club, University Club and the Old Gray Aires Singing Group. Mr. Frieberg enjoyed traveling, bowling, golf, the beach and the NY Yankees. He was the husband of the late Margaret Ann Kennedy; father of Mary Ellen Frieberg (Michael King), Ann Mahoney (John), Dr. Edwin M. Frieberg, Thomas Frieberg (Suzanne) and the late John Andrew Frieberg; grandfather of Tara Feimster (Wes), Carolyn Mahoney, Laura Moretti (Jeff), Julie Mahoney, Peter Frieberg, Jennifer Frieberg, Joseph Frieberg (Brooke) and Emma Frieberg; great-grandfather of Nick Dunnells, Cassidy Pierre, Colin Feimster and Owen Feimster; brother of the late J. Richard Frieberg; brother-in-law of Rev. Michael Kennedy, C.M. and the late Rev. John Kennedy, C.M. and Brother Michael Kennedy, F.S.C.; uncle of Patricia Jasciewicz, J. Richard Frieberg and Nancy Crawford; several dear friends including Toni, Bob and Lorraine, Linda, Barbara and Patricia. He is also survived by many who loved him dearly and are too numerous to mention. Funeral services, Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 9:45 a.m. from McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany, thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany at 10:30 a.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
