Ada Chase Boucher MechanicvilleMrs. Ada Chase Boucher, 84, of Burke St., died Friday afternoon, July 19, 2013 at Ellis Hospital, after being stricken at home on July 15th. Born in Stillwater, June 24, 1929, daughter of the late Walter and Emma Kilmer Chase. Ada was raised on her family's farm in Stillwater and moved to Mechanicville upon her marriage. Mrs. Boucher was employed by the former J.M. Fields and W.T. Grant Co. of Mechanicville and Wesco Motion Picture Film Service of Albany, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Mechanicville United Methodist Church and a patron of the Mechanicville Public Library. Mrs. Boucher enjoyed cooking and baking, reading, crocheting and sewing, playing cards and jigsaw puzzles, gardening and her backyard birds. In addition to her parents, Ada was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Robert T. Boucher, who died March 22, 2012. Also sisters, Isabel, Emma, Mary, Edith, Anna, Grace, Alice, Irene and Vida and brothers, Levern, Jesse, Walter and John. Survivors include her daughter, Roberta (Brud) Lane of Halfmoon; son, Robert (Terry) Boucher of Melrose; granddaughters, Denise (Eric) Lundquist of Glenville and Mandy Lane of Halfmoon; stepgreat-grandson, Jeremy Lundquist; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Boucher's family would like to sincerely thank Dr. John Nolan and Debbie Beranek, Dr. Stephen Balsamo, Dr. Lee Jameson and Ellis Medicine for their care and support. There are no calling hours. Friends are invited to a burial service to be held on Wednesday, July 24th at 10 a.m., at Stillwater Union Cemetery.
