Angeline (Angie) Donadio

Angeline (Angie) Donadio SchenectadyAngeline (Angie) Donadio, 87, formerly of Pleasant St. passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2013, at Ellis Hospital, with her loving family by her side. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Rose Marocco. She was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Angie will always be remembered as a gentle, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who was loved by all. Angie enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends underneath the grapevine at her beloved Pleasant St. home. In 1998 she learned she had breast cancer, and with treatment was a 15-year cancer survivor. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward F. Donadio; sisters, Jen (Ernie) Renzi, Pat (Dom) Santoro, Mary (John) Hanrahan; brothers, Tony (Ann), Louis (Sue), Joe, and Art Marocco; and granddaughter, Jessica Donadio. Angie is survived by her son, Edward J. (Kathleen) Donadio; granddaughter, Melissa (Tim) Duell; great-grandchildren, Emma, Sara, and Justin Duell; sisters-in-law, Theresa Donadio, Angela Donadio, Carm Califano, Helen Marocco, Josie Muscanell and Angie (Dolly) Paludi; and brother-in-law, Frank Donadio. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 22, at 8:15 a.m. from the DeLegge Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday evening from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the DeLegge Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the staff of The Heritage Home for Women, Dr. Valentine and the staff at Riverview Cancer Center of Rexford, and the staff of Ellis Hosptial, 4th floor A wing, for all their care and kindness to Angie.
