Angelo H. Riccio

Angelo H. Riccio Bonita Springs, FLAngelo H. Riccio, 92, of Camp Hill, PA and Bonita Springs, FL died peacefully on March 22, 2013 with his daughters by his side at Brookdale Rehabilitation Center after a short illness. Born to the late Ralph and Jenny Riccio in Schenectady, NY, he moved to Camp Hill, PA in 1966. Over the past 10 years he spent his winters in Bonita Springs. He spent his career as a proud employee of the Dept. of Defense, retiring with 40 years of service from the New Cumberland Army Depot in 1985. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII and was reactivated as part of the U.S. Naval Reserve during the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Camp Hill, PA, the Knights of Columbus, the Royal Order of Moose and a lifetime member of NARFE. His great passions were his family, friends and golfing. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Gerardi) Riccio; brothers, Michael, Anthony, and Peter; and sister, Anna. Survivors include his faithful companion of 15 years, Gloria Carney; daughters, Rosemary (John) Decker, Angela (Henry) Callie; and special niece, Cheryl Savini; sister, Filomena Frisone; six grandchildren; and many close and loving nieces, nephews, as well as great and great-great-nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail So., Bonita Springs, FL. Interment will be private. Memorial services to be held in Camp Hill and Schenectady, NY at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
