Chester W. "Chet" Looman III

Chester 'Chet' W. Looman III Scotia Chester Chet W. Looman III, 55, of Scotia died November 16, 2012 at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady. Born in Schenectady, NY on May 8, 1957, he was the son of Patricia (nee: Andrew) and the late Chester W. Looman, Jr.. He was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools, graduating from Scotia-Glenville High School in 1976. Chet worked in the produce department in local Price Chopper Supermarkets. In his spare time, Chet took pleasure in the outdoors, and loved camping and fishing. After earning his Eagle Scout ranking in 1973, he remained active and enthusiastic with the Boy Scouts of America. Married in 1990, Mr. Looman was predeceased by his wife, the late Alison V. Creighton Looman, who passed on May 2, 2012. He was also predeceased by his father, Chester W. Looman, Jr.; and his brother-in-law, Joop deWijk. Survivors include his mother, Patricia Looman of Scotia; his daughter, Felichia (Dustin) Looman-DeMoss; and granddaughter, Pandora Looman of Illinois; sisters, Linda (John) Liggett of Scotia, Susan deWijk of Calgary, Canada; and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. at The White Funeral Home, 264 N. Ballston Ave., Scotia. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
