Isabelle M. Palilunas

Isabelle M. Palilunas AmsterdamIsabelle M. Palilunas, 86, of Amsterdam, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 after a brief stay at Capstone Rehabilitation Center. She was a devout Roman Catholic, a parishioner of the Former St. Casimir's R.C. Church and a current parishioner of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Hagaman. Isabelle was born on July 10, 1927 to the late Anthony Tybor and Magdalene Miezwa Tybor in Amsterdam, and was a lifelong area resident. On May 15, 1948 she was united in marriage to Bennie Palilunas, who passed on July 2, 1993. Her faith was very important to her as was her family. She was a former member of the St. Casimir's Rosary Society. Isabelle enjoyed baking and cake decorating. She spent many hours in her garden and arranging her own floral pieces. Isabelle loved taking trips to the Racino in Saratoga. She was especially fond of her cats and most recently enjoyed the company of her cat Isaac. On many occasions Isabelle would watch The Lifetime Network, Sister Angelica and all of EWTN, along with watching mystery movies. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Isabelle is survived by her loving daughters, Christine M. Nagle (Daniel) and Cindy A. Richards (Philip); her sister, Lilian Renzo; grandchildren, Sarah Slosek (Steven) and Patrick Nagle. She also is survived by her great-grandson, Wyatt Daniel Slosek; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by not only her parents and husband but also her brothers, John, Joseph, and Samuel Tybor. Her sisters, Mary Furman and Bernadette Tybor also predeceased her. Isabelle's family invites relatives and friends to attend a calling period from 3 to 6 p.m. on Monday, September 2, 2013 at Betz Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 51 Pawling St., Hagaman, NY 12086 at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 with Fr. O. Robert DeMartinis to preside over all services. An interment will immediately follow all services at St. Casimir's Cemetery in Amsterdam.
