Louise Sigman-SchmidtSchoharieLouise Sigman-Schmidt, 99, formerly of Waterbury Road, Schoharie, died Thursday, January 30th at St. Johnsville Nursing Home. Louise was born October 30, 1914 in Little Falls, New York, a daughter of James Arthur and Carolyn (Sanderson) Wyman. She was educated in Little Falls, and attended Mt. Holyoke where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Art. Mrs. Schmidt began Budget Booster in Schoharie during the 1950s, operating the publishing business for many years. She enjoyed traveling and cherished her long time home on Waterbury Road. Louise married Thurse Foster Sigman in 1939, cherishing 13 years of marriage before his passing in 1952. Several years later, she remarried Alexander Schmidt, whom she was predeceased by in 1972. Mrs. Schmidt is survived by her son, Michael Sigman of Schoharie and grandchildren, Christopher Scott Sigman and Eric Thurse Sigman. She is predeceased by her son, Christopher Scott Sigman and siblings, Ellsworth and Carolyn Wyman. As per Louise's wishes, there will be no services held. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Schmidt to Scho-Wright Ambulance Service, P.O Box 325, Schoharie, NY 12157.
