M. Jill Hagadorn Teal MaltaM. Jill Hagadorn Teal, 49, of Collamer Rd., died Thursday evening at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with breast cancer
. Born in Troy, January 19, 1965, she was the daughter of Janice (Daniel) Baisley of Mechanicville and the late Robert Hagadorn. A 1983 Mechanicville High School graduate, Jill had worked for Advance Energy Technologies in Clifton Park for many years. Jill's passing has left a hole in the hearts of many, as she was a kind and selfless person in so many ways. Above all, she loved being a wife and mother to her devoted husband, Mark; and her children, Michael and Amanda. She was extremely proud of her family and her happiness showed every day in her smile. Also, being the neighborhood mom, her children's friends were always welcome and a constant presence in her home as she truly enjoyed spending time with them. You could always find Jill cheering on her son at his many games and spending time with her daughter watching her ride horses. Jill had many hobbies including flower arranging and coin collecting, but being an avid animal lover, she spent years perfecting her many aquariums, both salt water and fresh. She enjoyed cooking and baking and spent every Christmas carrying on her grandmother's tradition of baking dozens of cookies and giving them as gifts. She was everyone's favorite hostess and threw countless parties and events including the annual January bash for friends with winter birthdays, a Civic Center reunion reacquainting old friends from her past and her Wednesday night supper club. Saturdays were spent at the Teal house throwing dinner parties with her close circle of friends. Never wanting anyone to leave, they often became a 7 hour Happy Hour with dinner at 11, and we wouldn't have had it any other way. Jill was lucky enough to have many treasured friends whom she loved dearly. Among her favorite things, she found true enjoyment camping and it was her vacation of choice for as long as we can remember. Many happy summers she spent on Lake George at her camp with her family and friends, her favorite place to be. We may not be able to experience her loving ways in the physical form now, but from Heaven she will always find a way to comfort us, guide us and provide for us because that was all she knew. Where'd mama go?...gone too soon. Goodnight friend, we'll miss you always. In addition to her mother, Jill is survived by her husband of 23 years, Mark D. Teal, whom she married October 20, 1990; her loving children, Michael R. and Amanda R. Teal; her sister, Lauren Hagadorn Casterlin; and lifelong friend, Christine Sweeney.
