Reba L. Roll

Reba L. Roll GalwayReba L. Roll, 90, entered into eternity with Jesus on November 18, 2012. She died in her home after a long battle with kidney disease. Reba was born July 8, 1922 in Hillsborough, TX, the daughter of the late Andrew and Rebecca Adair. She was married to James W. Chapman until his death in 1959. She was later married to the late Frederick Roll, and they resided in the Buffalo area for the past 12 years, Reba has shared a home with her daughter, Barbara, and her son-in-law, Don in Galway. Reba worked as a seamstress for many years. Her interests were in crocheting and helping others. She was a selfless lady with a ready smile and encouraging words for anyone who would listen. A friend attributed to her the motto: Be the best and do the best that you can. Survivors include her son, James W. (Stacey) Chapman of Tyler, TX; her daughter, Barbara (Don) Roll of Galway; her grandchildren, Krista (Matthew) Conrick of Glens Falls, Kimberly (Lonny) Ingram of Atlanta, Jimmy Chapman of Tyler, Dixie (Gary) Swinford of Tyler; and her great-grandchildren, Emma and Aidan Conrick and Jason and Brittney Swinford; several nieces and nephews; plus many cherished friends. Reba was predeceased by four brothers and a sister. Reba's family wishes to express special thanks to the doctors and staff of the Rubin Dialysis Center of Saratoga Springs for the exceptional and loving care that allowed her to extend a quality life for several extra years. They also wish to express sincere appreciation for the special care provided by Hospice. Caring services to the family were provided locally by Ryan's Funeral Home of Galway. A celebration of Reba's life will take place Saturday, Nov. 24, in Lindale, TX, followed by burial at the Dover Cemetery nearby. If anyone wishes, donations may be made to the Deacons' Fund of the First Baptist Church of Ballston Spa.
