Ruth M. Fowler

Ruth M. Fowler NiskayunaRuth M. Fowler, 98, of Union Street, Niskayuna, and a former resident of Coburg Village in Clifton Park, died on Monday, June 24th, 2013 at Ellis Hospital, just two weeks before her 99th birthday. Born in Schenectady, Mrs. Fowler was the widow of Barnett (Barney) Fowler. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and Albany Business College. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church; was also past president of Parkhurst Children's Shelter Board, now Northeast Parent and Child Society; was active in her church and was active on the board of Schenectady Symphony and in United Way. Survivors include her son, Robert M. Fowler and his wife, Cornelia from Munnsville, NY; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She leaves one sister, Clara Belle (Mrs. John A.) Beals of Coshocton, OH, and was predeceased by one sister, Verna (Mrs. William J.) McCullough of Clearwater, FL. Private graveside services were held on Friday, June 28th, 2013.
