Farine E. Scavone SchenectadyFarine E. Scavone, 90, was born on July 4, 1921 in Cohoes, NY. She passed away quietly on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Ellis Hospital. Farine was the daughter of the late Clarence and Victoria Kline of Vischer Ferry, NY. Farine graduated from Waterford, NY High School, served in the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps during WWII, worked a number of years for General Electric and the NY State health care system. Farine is survived by her husband, John C. Scavone. She also leaves her son, Peter Knightes and his wife, Linda of Killeen, TX; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday at 9 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Officiating will be Rev. Tony Solomon of the Duanesburg-Florida Baptist Church. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Amity Reformed Church Cemetery, Vischer Ferry, NY.
