Medina S. Knowles

Medina S. Knowles was born on October 27, 1998 in Schenectady, NY, the daughter of Terrence Knowles and Tyesha Murray. She departed this life on September 15, 2015. Medina was a Junior at Schenectady High School, and for a short time attended the YouthBuild Program in Troy. This summer Medina was employed by NYRA and enjoyed working at the Race Track in Saratoga. Medina was looking forward to becoming a cheerleader this fall at school. In addition to her parents, she leaves to morn her passing and cherish her memories, a son, Jahsiy Knowles; three sisters, Shamecca, DAsia, and Tyeasia Knowles; two brothers, Shaborn Macon and Dubar (Tyreek) Knowles; grandparents Winston and Denise Goodman of Phenix City, AL, Gloria Knowles of Millagevlle, GA; great-grandparents, James and Betty Murray of Troy; one aunt, Terri Holmes (Thurman); three uncles, Charles Knowles (LaTonya) and Marcus Goodman of Atlanta, GA and James Murray (Dorinda) of Clifton, Park, NY. She is also survived by her neice and nephews, Kyeem, Kyziere and his twin sister, Kyasia, who were the love of Medina's life; and a host of other family and friends that loved her dearly. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Bethel Baptist Church, 2165 Fifth Ave., Troy, NY, the Rev. Doctor Eric Shaw Pastor. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment at Elwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
