Albert J. D'Ammasso ConnecticutAlbert John D'Ammasso, 95, lifelong resident of Schenectady, NY died January 6, 2013 at home in Avon, CT surrounded by his family. He was graduate of Nott Terrace High School and was retired from the General Electric Company Turbine and Generator and F. Caracciolo and Son Wholesaler. Albert, a veteran of WWII, was honorably discharged as a sergeant and received a Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, a Good Conduct Ribbon, four overseas service bars and six Bronze Stars. Albert was a devoted husband to the late Josephine Caracciolo D'Ammasso for 61 years. He is survived by his daughter, Judy D'Ammasso Tarbox of Avon, CT; his grandson, John Albert Tarbox; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Tarbox also of Avon, CT. He was an active communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Schenectady, NY. Albert was predeceased by his sisters, Viola Falace, Rosie Bianchi, Evelyn D'Ammasso; and his brothers, Hermann D'Ammasso and Michael D'Ammasso. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Interment in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady.
