Angelika Pregon Ballston SpaAngelika Angie Pregon, 87, of Ballston Spa, passed away Sunday, Feb- ruary 17, 2013. Born in Berlin, Germany, September 17, 1925, she was raised by her grandparents, Martin and Dorothea Bilitzki. Angie started working as an ap- prentice for Etam Goetze Text- il and graduated in 1942 from the Berufsschule Fuer Indus- trie Kaufleute, and worked for the Firma until it liquidated in 1945. She came to America in 1953 to start a new life with her hus- band, Willy Otto, who passed away in 1969. Angie worked in management for Friedrich Knitting Mills in Queens, NY. She married William Pregon in 1972 and moved to Yonkers. Together Angie and Bill built a home in Ballston Spa, NY and in 1974 they retired to Ballston Spa. Bill passed away in 2010. Angie is survived by her niece, Maria Mack and her hus- band, Cliff of Stamford, CT; great-nephews, Cliff Mack Jr. and his wife, Stacy and their sons, Austin and Alex; great-niece, Christina Brennan and her husband, John Joe and their son, William; and her sister, Dorothea of Germany. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, February 21, at St. Nicholas Russian Ortho- dox Church, 67 Saratoga Street, Cohoes. Burial will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Panakhyda service will be held at 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Rus- sian Orthodox Church. Online remembrances may be made at www.armerfuneral home.com
