Caroline Krueger Van Dyck Bolton LandingCaroline Krueger Van Dyck, of Clay Island, Bolton Landing and formerly of Scotia and Schenectady, NY died May 13, 2012. She was born in Schenectady, April 3, 1927 to Louise and Frederick Krueger. She graduated from Nott Terrace High School. She served on the board of directors and headed the tennis committee of the Lake George Club as well as serving on the board of directors of the Boy's Club of Schenectady. She was a past president and long standing member of the Garden Club of Lake George. Caroline was predeceased by her husband, Peter; her daughter, Gretchen; her parents; and her brothers, Ted and John. She is survived by her daughters, Cornelia Wells and husband, John, Katrina Van Dyck and husband, Henry Caldwell, Margaret Holmes and husband, Tim; and her son, Peter Van Dyck and wife, Ann Foster. Her eight grandchildren are Matthew Wells, his wife, Samantha of Queensbury, Sydnie Wells of Saratoga Springs, Harry and Charlotte Caldwell of Bolton Landing, Lillian and Oliver Holmes of Saranac Lake, and Max and Jackson Van Dyck of Harwich, MA. She is also survived by many neices and nephews. She was co-owner of Trees with her daughter, Cornelia in Bolton Landing. Tennis was an important part of her life as a player, organizer, and avid spectator. She was an ardent enthusiast of the New York Giants and Union College football. One of her greatest joys in life was spending summers on Clay Island and visiting with family and friends. She was a loving and incredibly supporting mother and grandmother. She lived her life with great style, flair, and a zest for life. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Blessed Sacrament Church, 7 Goodman Ave., Bolton Landing. Family and friends are invited and may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Regan Denny Stafford Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Rd., Queensbury.
