Cynthia J. Humme QueensburyCynthia J. Humme, 48, died Saturday evening, December 22, 2012 at her home in Queensbury. Born on July 24, 1964 in Bangor, Maine, she was the daughter of John A. Humme and the late Mary Ann (Kress) Humme. Cynthia spent much time in Iowa and New York, where her parents grew up. Cynthia grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Pequannock Township High School. She earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Calvin College in Michigan before settling in New York. Cynthia lived and worked in Rochester until 2008 when she moved to Queensbury to be closer to family and Peniel Bible Conference in Lake Luzerne. She worked there as a bookkeeper for a period and tended to the plantings there for years. Upon moving to Queensbury she found her church home at Redeemer Reformed Presbyterian Church. Gardening was a big interest of Cynthia's, as were science fiction movies and shows, and she was a member of the Adirondack Astronomy Club as well. She loved playing games, organizing, and though she loved animals of all sorts, she had a special place in her heart for cats She was predeceased by her mother, Mary Ann Humme, on May 28, 1969. Survivors include her father, John A. Humme of Duanesburg; a sister, Cheryl Humme of Fairbanks, Alaska; a brother, Christopher Humme and his wife, Betsy of Pequannock, NJ; her former husband, Paul Warner of Rochester; and her cat, Cleo. Friends may call Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Redeemer Reformed Presbyterian Church, 548 Luzerne Rd., Queensbury. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at the Redeemer Reformed Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the spring in Luzerne Cemetery, Lake Luzerne. Contributions in Cynthia's memory may be directed to Peniel Bible Conference, 336 Lake Tour Rd., Lake Luzerne, NY 12846 or to St. Peter's ALS Regional Center, 19 Warehouse Row, Albany, NY 12205.
